I feel lucky that I'm okay with needles because I've seen so many people struggle to take these meds. I much prefer to inject myself as I'm ready for the sting that way; I can't bear to watch others inject though… is that weird?
This was my fourth shot and I started sometime in May. I went an extra week between my first and second shot because of shipping and such. I'd like to say it is working, but we will see what the next two weeks are like.
Keep it up. It gets easier. I have had still's for the last 13 years and there are some real high points. I had a six year stretch there with almost no pain. The shots are a bummer. I started Kineret two weeks ago and giving myself daily injections has already gotten old, but it's better than the alternative.
You're braver than I was. My husband always gave me my Humira shot. Now I get Cimzia injections and have a friend give them to me.
I might eventually ask my boyfriend to do it once, but I don't want him to feel bad that it hurts me either.
